CLOTHES & BOOKS SWAP // INTERCAMBIO DE ROPA Y LIBROS

Clothing swaps are definitely my favorite way of shopping: zero waste production, zero plastic used, zero cost for your wallet and fun! When I was in Mallorca I attended several clothes swaps and I always found real treasures. It's a great pleasure to get rid of something you don't use anymore and find something that you like in exchange. Every time I tried to take the same number of items that I left, to keep my closet minimalist, although I never succeeded on that... BUT I didn't feel bad for taking home new clothes and accessories, since they were second hand and I didn't spend any money.

In Saigon I didn't find any swap during the two months we spent there, so I decided to organize one myself, mostly to get rid of the summer clothes and maybe find something warmer for our next trip to the North of Vietnam. I contacted Loan from Nulla, our favorite zero waste shop located in District 1 and she was happy to offer her shop to do it.
Loan decided to keep the swap once a month, so if you are interested check the Facebook page  to stay updated or contact her directly.

If you have the opportunity to attend one of these events, don't miss it, you contribute to keep the wheel of zero waste rolling. And if you can't find any, organize it yourself! People always like to renew their wardrobe, especially if it's for free! And the clothes that no one takes can be for charity. So it's going to be a special event for many more people than you think.

I found real treasures in the swap: some warm clothes for the North, a beautiful faux leather bag, yoga pants... Everything in great conditions. I also took a book called Everyday Karma by Carmen Harra, very interesting so far, and Manuel took the book Living truth, which has been very inspiring.

I can't wait for the next swap :)
